Our Privacy and Security Commitment
TrimDoc takes privacy and security seriously and uses safeguards designed to protect personal and health information, including protected health information (PHI). Depending on the services involved and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your PHI, including rights to access, amend, and obtain an accounting of certain disclosures — see the full HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices for how to exercise them.
How Your Data Is Protected
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher.
- Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- Infrastructure is hosted on U.S.-based servers.
- TrimDoc conducts regular security reviews and maintains a breach-notification policy consistent with HIPAA requirements.
Who Can See Your Information
Your PHI is shared only as needed to provide your care: with your treating provider, with the pharmacy that fills a prescription (if one is issued), and with service providers who support the platform (authentication, database hosting, and infrastructure vendors). We are reviewing and documenting the privacy and security requirements applicable to each provider, including whether a Business Associate Agreement is required and in place. TrimDoc does not sell your personal information or PHI to any third party.
Payment Information
Consultation and membership fees are processed securely by Stripe, TrimDoc's third-party payment processor (Zelle is available as an alternative). TrimDoc does not store your full payment card details. Medication payments are collected directly by your pharmacy — TrimDoc does not receive or store medication payment information.
Your Rights
- Request a copy of your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of non-PHI data, subject to legal retention requirements
- Opt out of non-clinical communications at any time
